limited warranties the comprehensive limited warranty on one of the electronic gadgets we bought at RadioShack says that malfunctioning of the product due to war, famine, flood, drought or act of god is not covered. that's about as comprehensive as they come. making poetry bleed for salvatore i grab a fistful of poems and squeeze so hard that words and sentences ooze through my fingers. i squeeze harder and the words disintegrate into letters. the alphabet runs down my arm, dripping blackly from my elbow. punctuation squirts from between my fingers and splatters against the walls. when i am finished my hand is inky and trembling and the empty pages wait for more. |
