AIN'T NO N IN TONY She got married & I didn't care Until I fell asleep and visited The place where I swung like Donkey Kong along the tower To carry her (& her alone) the water My eyes gooed shut & stomach Complaining tossing to outside noises Licking my throat and straining My bladder I loved her Outside it was all silent blue In the mud outside of the window Seattle Indians made a totem pole That told the story of the day & in the cemetery nearby A monster truck roared I turned up the radio as far as it goes To the song with the gravelly voice Lay me down it sang In the comic book Where there is a lot more noise JIGGITY JOG I am his accomplice He has been through Crimes of violence And non-violence Like a director Pegging blue lights Behind a camera I trail behind him Licking a Popsicle In blue jeans & enjoying the riot As I'm collected I wonder At the sudden cheapness of it Like cheap fireworks Or bubble-gum [Index] |
